Course summary
Sociology is the study of society, patterns of social relationships, social interaction and culture of everyday life. It is a social science that uses various methods of empirical investigation and critical analysis to develop a body of knowledge about social order, acceptance, and change or social evolution. You don't need to have studied GCSE Sociology to study the A level. There will be teacher led sessions, class-based discussion, student-led presentations, films and podcasts and individual research. You will need to undertake private study, read around the subject and complete regular homework tasks to stay on track.
