We offer a vocational course in Applied Diploma in Criminology. This is equivalent to an A level in UCAS points. The course is taught across 6X 100 lessons a fortnight. Year 1 Certificate units Unit 1 Changing awareness of crime assessed by internal controlled assessment (50%). Unit 2 Criminological theories assessed by external exam (50%). Year 2 Diploma Unit 3 Crime scene to courtroom assessed by internal controlled assessment (50%). Unit 4 crime & punishment assessed by external exam (50%).
Students will need to have six grade 4 passes at GCSE/BTEC. Students also need to have achieved a grade 4 in English (Literature or Language) or Maths at GCSE. 4 in English.
