By studying Accounts, you will master complex accounting disciplines including financial processes, advanced bookkeeping, final accounts, and ethical practices for accountants. This professional qualification includes the study of a range of accounting practices required for competently managing a commercial enterprise and for complying with legal requirements. The units of study are: Business Awareness; Financial Accounting; Preparing Financial Statements; Managing Accounting Techniques; and Tax Processes for Business.
Students should have previously completed a full-time Level 3 course post-16. In addition, students should have previously gained at least 5 GCSEs graded 5 and above, including English and maths.
All units are assessed by external examination.
