The Level 2 Business Diploma has been designed to provide a specialist work-related qualification in business, perfect for those who are looking to progress their studies onto level 3 and beyond. You will learn about business through completion of projects and assignments, based on realistic workplace situations, activities and demands. This two year course consists of two separate qualifications. The first year you will complete the BTEC Business First Certificate, Entry 3 Digital Skills and Lessons in Financial Education (LiFE) qualifications. Additionally, you will study Math and English qualifications and complete 30 hours work experience.
Four GCSEs at grade 3 or above (Old GCSE grade D or above) including English and Maths (or equivalent), or Functional Skills English and Maths at Level 1 or above. Successful completion of a Business or Computing Level 1 (or a related course) along with the above English and Maths requirements and satisfactory reference may also be acceptable. If you have a Grade 2 or below in English or maths, you can study towards either a PASS in Functional Skills Level 2 or a GCSE grade 4-9.
You will be assessed using a variety of different methods, which include observation, written assessments and discussions with tutor. Two of the units are assessed by an external examination with the remainder being internally assessed at a pass, merit or distinction grade.
