In the second year of A-level year, students are expected to demonstrate a greater depth of study than in the first year of A-level This might be achieved by, for example: •• greater specialization in a particular medium or process. •• extended development of particular themes, ideas, concepts, or issues. •• further theoretical research and increased requirements to demonstrate understanding through integrated practical and written forms, and other means of communication. •• more rigorous exploration of inter-disciplinary or multi-disciplinary. This course provides solid and varied knowledge and is good preparation for a successful career. It also provides the necessary entry requirements for higher education courses.
