If you wish to study this BTEC in Business, will be aiming to go on to employment, apprenticeships or higher education. This course is designed to help you gain an understanding of business and how it operates. This course will develop your employability skills through work experience. You will learn by completing projects and assignments based on authentic workplace situations.
You will need four GCSEs at grade 4 or above to include English Language and Mathematics. Alternatively, you will have a BTEC or CTEC Level 2 Diploma at Merit grade.
Assessment will comprise of three methods — internally assessed assignments, controlled assessment and examinations. All units are assessed using a grading scale of Distinction (D), Merit (M), Pass (P). The combination of grades you achieve over two years will give you an overall grade spanning from PP to D*D*. This grade can be converted into UCAS points.
