Religious Studies
Course summary
A course that has relevance to a whole variety of careers, from Medicine to Law or Journalism. You will study and debate ethical, religious and philosophical issues with real life examples from the news e.g. on medical ethics, sexual ethics, terrorism, immigration or the death penalty. The specification offers an academic approach to the study of religion and Religious Studies is accepted, like the facilitating subjects, as suitable preparation for study at the Russell Group universities. Students need a grade 5 or above if they did RS GCSE, but it is not a requirement to have taken Religious Studies.
