The Level 3 Electrical Installation apprenticeship is for anyone who is currently working or wants to work within the electrical sector as an electrician. You will develop the skills required for employment in this sector such as electrical scientific principles, as well as up-to-date rules, regulations, and methods of installation within theory sessions. In practical sessions, you will learn about different cable types, a variety of wiring methods, and how to terminate all cable types. Testing and inspection of your electrical installation will also be extensively covered, along with fault finding. You will be expected to attend College one day a week, during which you will learn the theory and practical elements required. You will be expected to demonstrate competence via onsite assessments and an e-portfolio of evidence. Upon completion, you will be required to complete an end-point assessment (AM2S) to gain the full apprenticeship standard.
You will need to have achieved a minimum of 3 GCSEs at grade 4(C) or above. You should have a genuine interest in this subject. You will be required to have achieved English and maths functional skills Level 2 and you will be required to carry out an initial assessment.
