Course summary

Paper 1 – The Nature of Law and the English Legal System with Criminal Law. This unit introduces students to the structure of the Criminal and Civil Courts in England and Wales. Paper 2 – The Nature of Law and the English Legal System with Tortious Liability. In this unit, students will study how law is made and interpreted in England and Wales through the role of Parliament and the Courts. Paper 3 – The Nature of Law and the English Legal System with Human Rights. In this unit, students will study the comparisons between law and morality. Students will also analyze the importance of the Rule of Law and its importance in a democracy. Students will be expected to demonstrate their knowledge and understanding of the Human Rights Act 1998.
