The foundation certificate in accounting covers a range of basic accounting principles and techniques, from costing and double-entry bookkeeping to using accounting software. There are five units studied within this level. ● Bookkeeping Transactions ● Bookkeeping Controls ● Elements of Costing ● Work Effectively in Finance ● Using Accounting Software
You must have gained Level 2 English and maths (GCSE grades A*-C). Certificates will need to be produced at enrolment. If proof cannot be produced or you do not meet these entry requirements then applicants will be invited to complete an initial assessment prior to acceptance. You must attend an interview with the AAT team. If you do not hold a Level 2 in maths and English you will need to take an initial assessment prior to being offered a place.
You will be assessed through 5 computer-based assessments.
