This course is equivalent to 1 full A level and is an excellent choice for anyone interested in a career in Health or Social Care. It provides consistency with larger courses, and has been designed so that mandatory units are studied and the course can be ‘topped up’ should you wish to pursue Health & Social Care after Post 16 . The Units for this course include: • Unit 1: Human Lifespan Development - external assessment • Unit 2: Working in Health and Social Care - external assessment • Unit 5: Meeting Individual Care and Support Needs - internal assessment • Unit 11: Psychological Perspectives - internal assessment.
- To study this subject students will need to have gained a grade 4 in English or a Merit in Level 2 Health and Social Care if studied. - 6 x grade 4 GCSEs in a range of subjects to include English and Maths
Assessment is through a combination of internal assessment (coursework) and external assessment (exam).
