Course summary

A specialist vocationally related technical qualification that will complement the knowledge, understanding, and skills gained at Level 2 and is focused on producing highly proficient, professional Beauty Therapists. The course concentrates on the anatomy and physiology of the body and will introduce students to body treatments. You will learn all aspects of the beauty industry including how to contribute to the financial effectiveness of the business and how to promote additional services to clients. You will also be expected to participate in relevant work experience. • Monitor and maintain health and safety practices in the salon • Client care and communication in beauty-related industries • Provide body massage • Provide facial electrotherapy treatments • Provide body electrotherapy treatments • Apply microdermabrasion • Apply massage using pre-blended aromatherapy oils
