This course is designed to develop your understanding of the principles, practices, and legislation surrounding inspecting, testing, and commissioning electrotechnical systems. You'll also learn how to plan, prepare, and design these systems. The course is intended as a Technical Level qualification. It has been specifically designed for 16-19-year-old learners in full-time education who have completed the Level 2 Diploma in Electrical Installation and who are interested in pursuing a career as an electrician. The qualification may also be suitable for other learners, including adults, who are interested in electrical installation and/or are considering a career change. You will practice and be assessed in a secure environment on the installation and testing of electrical equipment in accordance with health and safety requirements, together with the relevant theory of electrical installation to the current edition of the wiring regulations. You will utilize BS 7671 and will also acquire a relevant understanding of electrical science and principles. Modules on this course include: - Electrical installation design - Environmental technology systems - Electrical science and principles - Electrical installation craft - Diagnosing and correcting electrical faults
Five GCSEs at grade C/4 or above (including English, maths and science) and a relevant Level 2 qualification.
