Course summary

This course will suit you if you want to understand how businesses work, what makes businesses profitable and have an interest in starting your own business, or progressing in Business Management. Are you a budding entrepreneur? Do you want to know how to make your first million? Do you want to understand the type of leader you could be and how you can inspire people? If so, you should consider Business Studies as an option. In the first year you will study the various aspects of successful businesses. In the second year you will gain a critical understanding of more complex units. You will examine real business situations, you will develop your knowledge of how businesses are organised, structure, financed and operated. You will also have the chance to gain practical experience, helping to set up a real business and working to make a profit for charity.
