A Level of Spanish will help develop your confidence, effective communication skills in Spanish, and a thorough understanding of the culture of countries and communities where Spanish is spoken. You will learn about the language and cultural life of Spain and Spanish-speaking countries including a range of cultural, social, and political topics. You will also study a contemporary film and novel. In doing so, you will refine and extend your ability to read, write, speak, and listen with accuracy, fluency, and confidence. You will also gain a solid grounding in Spanish grammar.
For a mixed programme of A Levels and BTEC Level 3 courses you must have five GCSEs grade 4 and above which could include one BTEC and either GCSE English or Maths as appropriate for your chosen courses. Requires GCSEs in Spanish at grade 6 and English language at grade 4, plus the standard entry requirements of an A Level or mixed programme.
This course is designed to be taken over two years. To achieve this qualification, you must complete all assessments (oral, listening, reading, translation, and writing).
