This qualification covers a range of units to develop the skills required to progress directly into employment or higher education courses but allows students the opportunity to specialize in football. During your two years of study, you will undertake a work placement. You will also hear from a variety of industry speakers, visit career fairs, and attend workshops, trips, and visits.
For BTEC Level 3 courses students must have a minimum of 4 GSCEs grade 9-4 (A*-C) which may include 1 BTEC and either GCSE English or GCSE Maths at grade 4 as appropriate for chosen courses. Grade 4 in GCSE Maths or GCSE English and a Merit in BTEC Level 2 Sport or a Grade 4 in GCSE PE if taken
The majority of units are internally assessed in a range of types and styles adapted to suit the qualification. These may include written reports, presentations, journals/logs, etc. On the Extended Diploma, learners will undergo an externally set Research Project.
