Technical ability and a problem-solving approach are a must, as is an interest in working in the Computing industry. You will gain a broad understanding of the core skills required in the digital industry and is aimed at preparing you for Apprenticeships, further study, or Employment. The course is delivered in blocks with software skills, web, graphics, and technical units all part of the study program. Work experience, skills for success, English, and maths will also be core elements of this course. You will develop your knowledge, skills, and experience related to IT Technical Support alongside developing your wider digital skills for work and English and maths. This course is taught by teachers with real industry experience. You will be able to visit the workplace enabling you to experience the industry first-hand and prepare you for your next steps.
You require a D/3 or above in English and maths or Level 1 Functional Skills in English and maths plus at least 2 other GCSEs at D/3 or above or a relevant Level 1 vocational qualification.
