This Business course will give you an introduction to how the commercial world operates, ranging from small business start-ups to multinational corporations. As well as gaining business knowledge, through real and up-to-date business case studies, you will develop the skills of data interpretation and problem solving that will help you to make sound tactical and strategic decisions in different business environments. Enrolling on the Business course will allow you to develop an understanding of entrepreneurs and leaders, the marketing mix, how firms manage finance, make strategic decisions, and the impact of globalization. You will develop the skill of evaluating business strategies through regular group work and whole class discussion. There are many enrichment opportunities available to Business students potentially including the Tycoon Enterprise Competition, business consultancy projects, the ICAEW’s Business, Accounting and Skills Competition and the International Trade Simulation.
At least 5 GCSEs graded 9-5 including English and Maths at grade 4 or above.
A Level Business is assessed through three exams which include open-response questions.
