This course is an amazing opportunity for you to develop your ability to critically appraise and evaluate primary source material and historians’ interpretations of the cultural, economic, and political landscape of both twentieth-century America and South Africa, as well as the Tudor dynasty. • The breadth study will be ‘In Search of the American Dream. The USA c1917-96. • The depth study will be ‘South Africa, 1948-94: From Apartheid State to Rainbow Nation’ • The breadth and depth study will be ‘Rebellion and Disorder under the Tudors 1485-1603’ • The coursework unit will be a choice between four different potential modules, including Germany in the 20th century.
At least 5 GCSEs graded 9-5, including English.
There will be three exams and one coursework assignment.
