Course summary

If you have an interest in working with animals and want to explore the various career opportunities in the rapidly evolving animal management sector, then this course is for you. The course comprises five units, covering animal welfare and ethics, practical animal husbandry, animal behaviour, animal health and diseases, and work experience in the animal sector.

Entry requirements

At least 4-5 GCSEs graded 9-4 and a grade 4 in Science and English is required. Relevant experience such as working with or having animals is helpful.

How you'll be assessed

The unit on animal welfare is assessed through a three-hour exam based on a scenario provided by the exam board, while the remaining units are assessed through internal assignments.
