Political perspectives you will study include liberalism, conservatism, socialism, and anarchism. UK Politics You will gain an understanding of how democracy has developed in the UK through the study of political parties. You will then go on to explore the influence of the media and consider why people vote the way they do. UK Government You will learn about the major processes in government such as the Houses of Parliament, the Constitution, the Prime Minister, and the role of the Courts. Global Politics You will learn about the interactions between different countries, including the US, China, and Russia and global institutions such as the United Nations. You will explore the impact of global politics on human rights, the environment, globalisation, and conflict.
You will need 4 GCSEs at grade 5 or above with at least a grade 4 in GCSE Maths and English Language.
A-Level students will be assessed by written exam.
