Course summary
The course involves the study of a range of traditional visual themes: still life, landscape, portrait, abstract imagery and design as well as experimental and contemporary ideas. Work will be developed in sketchbooks and on a larger scale and this will involve experimentation with a variety of materials, tools and techniques. The technical aspect of the course will involve a combination of drawing, painting, printmaking, sculpture, textiles and digital image manipulation. The study of artists and their work at first hand, will play an important role in the development of your work.
