• This course focuses on developing the student’s ability to produce and evaluate practical work along with developing their critical studies and their appreciation of artists.
• Seven 5-9 grades including at least a 5 in Maths and English language or literature. • English Lang/Lit 5 • Art 6 if previously studied or 6 Merit in creative subject
• You will be assessed based on your fluency in the Assessment Objectives (shown above) • Completion of a coursework unit and preparatory studies in Year 12 looking at developing skills and knowledge of the arts. • 100% coursework divided into two units: 50% Personal Investigation unit which includes a 3000-word written investigation to support practical studies and 50% examination unit in Year 13. • The Examination Unit is an 8 to 10-week project will be set by the examination board that culminates in a timed 15 hour examination.
