Course summary

Mathematics is a universal part of human culture. It is the tool and language of commerce, engineering, and other sciences. It helps us recognize patterns and to understand the world around us. The generic nature of mathematics means that almost all industries require mathematicians. Maths A Level gives you a solid grounding in Mathematics and the course consists of several modules including: - Core 1 and Core 2, which are Pure Maths modules - You will have a choice of either Mechanics or Statistics for your Applied Maths module.

Entry requirements

The most important entry requirement is that you are committed and determined to do well. You need to achieve a minimum of 5 GCSEs at Grade 4 or above, with at least 2 at Grade 5. These must include Maths and English. To study this particular A level you need to achieve Grade 6 in GCSE Maths.
