The first examination is more traditional, allowing students to demonstrate a good knowledge of network topologies, ethical issues, knowledge of storage devices and more. The focus of the course is on ‘science’ and ‘computational thinking’. Accordingly students who have enjoyed sciences and maths at school are likely to enjoy this subject.

Entry requirements

You will need 5 GCSEs at grade 4 or above, with at least a grade 4 in GCSE English Language. Please note that for A-Level Computing you will need a grade 5 in Maths.
