Course summary

The BTEC suite of business qualifications are designed to give you a thorough knowledge of the business world, together with vital skills demanded by major employers. The Diploma in Business is a two-year programme, designed to give students a thorough knowledge of the business world together with the vital business skills demanded by all major employers. The Diploma consists of eight units, six of which are mandatory and two of which are optional. Year 1 (Core): • Unit 1 - Exploring Business • Unit 2 - Developing a marketing campaign* • Unit 3 - Personal Business Finance* • Unit 27 - Work Experience Year 2 (Core): • Unit 5 - International Business • Unit 6 - Principles of Management*. Year 2: (optional) The course team will select a further two units designed to give you a balanced and relevant structure. Likely areas of study will be: Team Building in Business, Digital Marketing, and Recruitment and Selection.
