The Diploma in Business is a two-year programme, designed to give students a thorough knowledge of the business world together with the vital business skills demanded by all major employers. The Diploma consists of eight units, six of which are mandatory and two of which are optional. Year 1 (Core): • Unit 1 - Exploring Business • Unit 2 - Developing a marketing campaign* • Unit 3 - Personal Business Finance* • Unit 27 - Work Experience Year 2 (Core): • Unit 5 - International Business • Unit 6 - Principles of Management*. Year 2: (optional) The course team will select a further two units designed to give you a balanced and relevant structure. Likely areas of study will be: Team Building in Business, Digital Marketing, and Recruitment and Selection.
5 GCSEs at grade 4 or above, including Mathematics and English.
For the Diploma, five assignments are set and marked internally, two assignment tasks are set and marked by Pearson and one is a written exam set and marked by Pearson. Externally assessed units are marked with an asterisk in the list above.
