This course gives students an insight into the many roles available within health and social care. From nursing and social work to child care, the course explores a wide range of units that will help students gain skills that will be valuable in their chosen profession or future study. Students will learn about the human body and mind alongside the changes across time, what it means to work in the sector and what skills and behaviours you will need to develop.
5 GCSEs grade 4 or above, including a grade 5 in Science or a BTEC level 2 qualification in Health and Social Care or a related area.
Assessment for the course is by coursework during the two years and a number of exams throughout the two years. This will depend upon the qualification you undertake.
