We have a diverse range of units and make sure we deliver it in an effective format moving between examination units to portfolio work to enable strong opportunities to apply knowledge in a practical way reinforcing understanding. This course covers both academic and practical topics. There are three externally examined units: • Principles of Computer Science • Fundamentals of Computing • Project Management Alongside the examined units, you will also complete five internally assessed pieces of work, covering: • System Security and Encryption • Implications of Computing • Use of Social Media in Business • Website development • Computer Games Development
Students must have achieved five strong passes (grade 5) at GCSE level, including English and Maths, and a grade 5 in the desired A-Level subject.
