The purpose of the AAT Certificate in Accounting is to offer an understanding of the core accounting knowledge and skills needed to progress either to employment or to further study. GCSE English and maths at grade C/4 or above or appropriate vocational competence as well as successful completion of a telephone or face-to-face interview with the Course Director.
All units are mandatory and completion of four individual computerized assessments is required along with a synoptic assessment that will assess the content of four specific units. A certificate for the level will be achieved by passing all individual unit assessments as well as the synoptic assessment.
