Course summary

The Extended Certificate in Sport and Physical Activity is equivalent to one A Level and carries a maximum of 120 UCAS points. The course provides learners with the opportunity through applied learning to develop the core specialist knowledge, skills and understanding required in the sport and physical activity sector. Students must have a keen interest and be actively participating in sport and exercise. It is also important to have good punctuality and attendance, a capacity to be hard working, an ability to be organized and to meet deadlines. HOW WILL I BE TAUGHT? You will attend nine 60 minute lessons every two weeks. Delivery of the course will encompass a range of teaching and learning methods including investigations, presentations, coaching and leadership practicals, observational analysis, group based projects and written accounts.
