Given the academic and research driven nature of this subject, a Level 5 or above in English Language is the minimum requirement. In addition, if Media Studies were taken at GCSE then we would be looking for students who gained a solid Level 5. Although there is no requirement to have studied Media at GCSE the new A Level will build on knowledge and understanding featured in that course. Good essay writing skills are essential.
