This course covers the same areas as the A-Level. Business organizations provide us with goods and services on a local and national scale. You will learn about how businesses start up, how they are managed successfully, and what can go wrong. You will learn how workers are recruited and managed, how products are made and marketed, and how a business manages its finances. HND Business NVQ training alongside employment Degree level courses in Business, Management, Marketing, Finance, Accounting Setting up your own business either as a full-time venture or alongside employment Your employment opportunities in ANY business should be enhanced by the knowledge and skills that you will have gained.
Five GCSEs at grade 4 and above. Plus a grade 4 in the relevant subject area. No requirement to have studied Business before. Grade 4/C in GCSE minimum in Maths and English.
The Level 3 BTEC has been changed in the last few years. Most of your assessment is still through coursework assignments, but there will now be one examined unit. The course is modular. Two-unit modules will be taken in Year 12 and two more in Year 13. THREE units are compulsory, including the exam unit and then we will choose ONE optional unit from a choice of several. Assignments will sometimes be written to cover all of the unit and sometimes smaller assignments will cover parts of the unit.
