Physical Education allows the development of a wide range of sporting roles. Firstly, it will allow further practical progression in your leading activity, as well as the opportunity to develop coaching and leadership skills. Aside from the practical aspect of the subject, it will develop a range of transferable skills in subject areas such as psychology, physiology, applied science, and sociology. Students studying Physical Education will be equipped with a range of skills, such as the ability to analyze sporting performance, research and plan appropriate fitness programs, and evaluate issues within a sporting context. All of these are transferable skills that will be required in other subjects and enhance your employment prospects. The skills developed in these areas are sought after by many employers, in a wide variety of careers such as physiotherapy, medicine, employers using psychology, media, professional athletes, sports development, coaching, teaching, and the ever-increasing health and fitness sector. This is an A Level course assessed through practical and examination-based methods. All students are provided with access to online support and extra resources to support their learning.
