This course will give you a wide range of experience in some of the latest aspects of the subject, as well as give you more advanced knowledge of the traditional aspects of ICT. The course offers specialist pathways in IT Infrastructure Technician, Emerging Digital Technology Practitioner, Application Developer, and Data Analyst. How the course is taught? A variety of teaching methods are applied, including lectures, role play, and practical activities. What areas are covered by the course? Students will complete two mandatory units - Fundamentals of IT and Global Information, in addition to three further units that are relevant to the specialist-endorsed pathway chosen by the student.
5 or more GCSEs (or equivalent) at grade C or above. There are no specific entry requirements; however, previous study in ICT is an advantage and an interest in the subject is essential.
This course is assessed through a combination of internal assessment and moderation, and external examination.
