Over the two-year course students will study a broad and balanced Dance curriculum which includes ballet, jazz, urban, contemporary, commercial and choreography, before honing their skills, interests and expertise.
The A-level qualifications are examined both practically and through formal written examinations. The vocational focus of the Extended Diploma means that all work and performance opportunities (including all ongoing participation in classes and rehearsals) are assessed. Students cover a range of units and, at the end of the course, will be awarded an overall grade according to the combined total of the individual units. Varied assessment methods include: studio based assessments, studio performances, lecture demonstrations, journals, public performances in CAPA College’s theatre and across the country.
