Course summary

The level 3 BTEC Extended Certificate in Health and Social Care provides an opportunity to learn about human development, care values, communication skills, ethical issues, and industry-relevant legislation for those that want to work in health and social care. In addition to this it allows students to explore job roles and responsibilities within the health and social care sector. Theoretical research is integrated with insight from real life care practitioners and practical, task-based assignments for the internally assessed units. There are opportunities to work as part of a team and to research, present, reflect and evaluate, all of which are beneficial for higher education and employment.
