There is no greater satisfaction than being absorbed in the creative process, and the course is tailored to provide you with this experience. This course is very rewarding and gives you the opportunity to express yourself imaginatively and creatively, using a whole range of different media. You will develop a range of skills in relation to drawing, painting, sculpture and mixed media. Following the art process from your initial research and starting points through to development and experimentation, you will produce a body of work for each unit. Alongside this you will research a range of relevant artists to gain inspiration and visit relevant exhibitions.
Students should have grades 9-4 in seven GCSE programmes, including GCSE English and GCSE Mathematics, and a grade 6 or above in GCSE Art.
