The UK’s creative industries are now worth a record £101.5 billion to the UK economy, and Art & Design is a subject that could lead to a well-paid and fulfilling career in the arts. This course offers you the chance to explore your own creativity, develop your ideas, think critically, and learn to express yourself artistically with growing expertise. There is no greater satisfaction than being absorbed in the creative process, and the course is tailored to provide you with this experience. This course is very rewarding and gives you the opportunity to express yourself imaginatively and creatively, using a whole range of different media. You will develop a range of skills in relation to drawing, painting, sculpture and mixed media. Following the art process from your initial research and starting points through to development and experimentation, you will produce a body of work for each unit. Alongside this you will research a range of relevant artists to gain inspiration and visit relevant exhibitions.
