The EPQ is an additional qualification worth half an A Level which allows students to demonstrate their passions and interests to universities and employers. The course is self-directed with students deciding on the area of study. They must plan, research and develop their idea to realise their finished product which takes the form of: 1. A 5,000 word report, or an artefact (such as a computer programme, an architectural model or a piece of art) plus a 1,000 word report. 2. A Production Log detailing the development of the project. 3. A short presentation of their findings.
Open to all students at the discretion of the Sixth Form Team.
Centre assessed on completion of essay/artefact, log and presentation.
