Lively, relevant and controversial…there are many ways to describe A-level Politics but there is no denying that it is one of the most interesting and engaging qualifications you can choose. This course will introduce you to the British and US political systems, the theories (such as Marxism, conservatism and anarchism) which underpin, or seek to challenge them. Politics is taught through a lively, investigative approach and offers challenge to all abilities. A wide range of methods and techniques is employed, including research, presentation, debate, role-play, drama, AV and ICT. All help to stimulate deeper understanding and sharpen analytical skills.
