Course summary

There are two components: Component 1 September Year 12 -January Year 13Workshops teaching a variety of 2 dimensional and 3 dimensional skills and techniques. An individual visual investigation leading to 1 or more outcomes and informed by different Artists, designers, cultures or genres. A piece of extended writing between 1000-3000 words which follows a line of enquiry and links to the practical assignment. Gallery visit.60% of qualification. Component 2 February –May of Year 13A response to a question chosen from an AQA exam paper released on 1stFebruary.A practical project/investigation with an outcome produced during a supervised period of a 15 hours practical exam. Annotation to communicate ideas, insights and decisions to others.40% of qualification
