Giving you the chance to learn with celebrity hairdresser Lee Stafford, this course focuses on, commercial cutting, coloring, perming, and styling hair. The course offers you in-depth training and industry awareness as you explore the Lee Stafford techniques and recipes along with our outstanding teaching team. You will also have the opportunity to participate in Hairdressing competitions and experience a photo shoot. Hairdressing is a creative, demanding, and disciplined career that will provide you with a rewarding career and exciting industry opportunities. Working in our Lee Stafford Education Salon, with our external base of clients, provides you with realistic opportunities to practice the new skills you will learn along the way.
Applicants will need to have achieved four GCSE at Grade 3. This must include: - Maths - English - Science, PE, or a creative subject such as Art plus one other GCSE at grade 3 or above in any other subject. A work experience placement in a salon for a minimum of 1/2 day a week, successful interview. Applicants who have completed a Level 2 VRQ in Barbering, Beauty, or Hair and Make-up are not eligible for this course
A portfolio of practical hairdressing units will be collated and assessed through observation and feedback. Theory knowledge will be assessed through a written exam for every unit. In addition, there will be written assignment work. A final grade will be awarded for each unit which will be graded Pass , Merit or Distinction. All units have to be completed to achieve the qualification.
