Over a two year course you will develop a range of practical skills and theoretical knowledge in the areas of Finance, Marketing, Human Resource Management, Project Management and Leadership Skills. Many students who enjoy and successfully complete this course progress onto Higher Education or employment in the business sector. Develop a real understanding of what is involved, both theoretically and practically, in becoming an effective business professional.
For our Advanced Vocational courses our entry requirements are a minimum of 5x GCSEs at Grade 4, Maths or English Language or Literature at Grade 4 and Grade 3 in the others. Some courses and subjects will have additional specific entry requirements or require DBS clearance to undertake placements. Your assessment will vary greatly and reflect the types of communications used daily in business such as reports, presentations, debates, podcasts, meetings and will also include practical involvement in activities such as market research and the managing of a business team event activity. Many contemporary businesses are also linked to assigned scenarios used to allow you to demonstrate applying your knowledge in real business settings.
