Course summary

This is a one-year program, designed for you to have a career in Food and Beverage. We have developed this course to ensure you gain a range of skills that are required for different food and beverage establishments. A sample of units that will be covered through the year will be as follows: Food Safety in Catering, Legislation in Food and Beverage Service, Menu knowledge and design, Principles of Beverage Products knowledge and Handling payment, and Maintaining the Payment Point.

Entry requirements

You will need 4 GCSE at Grade 9-3, one to include Maths or English at Grade 4 or above. You will also need good communication skills, be passion in delivering excellent customer service, and confidence when working independently or as a team.

How you'll be assessed

You will be assessed using a mixture of practical observation, self-evaluations, witness testimonies, and assignments at regular intervals over the College year.
