This course is for you if you want to learn about a variety of topics related to sport and exercise science, including anatomy and physiology, psychology, biomechanics, and more. You will study six units in year 1, which will be delivered using both practical and theoretical teaching. Four units will be assessed through coursework submission and the other two units will be exam-based. In year 2 you will learn about more vocational areas, including sports injuries, massage, nutrition, and more. Five units will be assessed through coursework and two units will be exam-based. The course is nationally recognized and provides you with the equivalent of 3 A-Levels and the opportunity to progress onto University, Fitness qualifications, or work.
You will need to have at least one of the following: - Five GCSEs at grade 4 or above including GCSE English Language and Mathematics - BTEC Diploma in a related subject graded a minimum of a Merit and GCSE Mathematics and English Language at grade 4 or above
You will be assessed through a variety of assessment methods, all of which are aimed at a more vocational method of study. These include presentations, practical skills demonstrations, exams, and written assignments.
