Course summary

A Level Textiles encourages you to be highly inventive and innovative with materials and techniques. Inspired by your own observations, concepts, historical and contemporary artists and designers, you will explore fashion and textiles as art forms through fashion, body adornment, millinery, sculpture, fibre art and installation. After studying Textiles at Barton Peveril, you can progress onto Higher Education to further develop your creative skillset and talents. Entry requirements

Studying Art and/ or Design at GCSE, and having access to a sewing machine at home, is advantageous but not essential.

This class has a mixture of: • 40% Externally-Set Practical Assignment • 60% Personal Investigation and Written Related Study
