Course summary

This part-time, six-hour-a-week course is for adults aged 19 and over seeking a career as an electrician. The course will provide you with industry-standard skills that employers look for when recruiting electricians. This Level 3 advanced course will develop your confidence, knowledge and practical skills. If you’re aged 19+ and this will be your first Level 3 course, it could be free for you under the government’s National Skills Fund (NSF) scheme. Get in touch to find out more.

Entry requirements

To join this course, you must have achieved a Merit for the Level 2 Electrical Diploma. 5 x GCSEs at C/4 or above, or a Level 2 Certificate / Extended Certificate or above (at merit or above) in a relevant subject. Applicants with 85% or below attendance will have been deemed not to have met this criteria. All applicants are given an opportunity to discuss any evidence-based mitigating circumstances that may have affected the reference/school report. If you are applying for a creative practice-based course, you will be invited to bring a portfolio of work that demonstrates what you have done in your previous courses. How you'll be assessed

You will be assessed in a number of different ways and receive regular feedback in reviews to guide your progress. Some of the ways in which your success will be measured are professional discussions, assignments, exams and practical assessments.
