Would you love a career in media, broadcasting, journalism or video production? This is a practical course which will give you technical skills in media production. You will gain knowledge and skills in areas such as single camera techniques, film production, sound recording and editing. Media is an enjoyable and ‘hands on’ course in which you will engage with practical equipment and specialised software in order to produce creative work.
• GCSE Grade 5 or above in Mathematics and English (Language or Literature) plus 4 other GCSEs at Grade 4 or above (this includes BTECs at Merit or Distinction). • You do not need to have studied Media previously. If you did take BTEC Media in Year 11 you need to have achieved at least a Pass in the externally examined component.
