Year 1 As part of this course, you will study receipt and payment transactions, communications, law, business administration and data processing. Covering a range of basic accounting practices and techniques, from costing and double-entry bookkeeping to computerised accounting, the AAT level 2 course is perfect for those new to working in finance or looking to expand and develop foundation knowledge and skills. The units that you will be studying on this course include principles of costing, introduction to bookkeeping, principles of bookkeeping controls and business environment.
To enrol onto this course you will need four GCSEs at Grade 4 (C) or above including English and maths are required for this course. You will also need to provide one reference which can be provided by your employer or previous education establishment. It is desirable that you can demonstrate 90% attendance. Consideration will be given to all applicants over the age of 19, who do not hold formal English and maths qualifications.
You will be assessed by end of unit online exams and also an overall synoptic assessment at the end of the year.
