This qualification will give opportunities to students to explore and understand the increasingly critical economic and related issues that dominate the news. It is about choices and the impact of our choices on each other. It relates to every aspect of our lives, from the decisions we make as individuals or families to the structure created by governments and firms. This involves using both written and mathematical skills which can complement a variety of other A-Levels – it does not tie students to either an Arts or Science bias.
Standard entry requirements: 5 GCSEs graded at 4 or above (counting 2 BTECs maximum). Students must have achieved at least a grade 6 in GCSE English and grade 5 in GCSE Mathematics.
