If you enjoyed Biology at GCSE and would like to delve into it in more depth, then A Level Biology is the course for you. During the course of your A Level, you will study: the Development of Practical Skills in Biology; Foundations in Biology; Exchange and Transport; Biodiversity, Evolution and Disease; Communication, Homeostasis, Energy, Genetics, Evolution and Ecosystems. Develop your understanding of how science works by using theories and ideas to expand, challenge and modify scientific explanations. Practical work plays an important role in the course which will help students to extend their observational and manipulative skills when carrying out experiments. Biology can be combined with almost any other A Level subject and may lead to many different careers in Science and Business. A Level Biology provides an essential foundation for many Higher Education courses such as Archaeology, Biochemistry, Dentistry, Forensic Science, Genetics, Marine Biology, Medicine, Physiotherapy, Veterinary Science and Zoology to name but a few.
